HID Headlights are the best lighting option that you can possibly find. HID Bulbs produce brighter light that enables drivers to see better than regular headlights. Newer cars are now offering HID lights as the standard lighting. Because of the advantages of HID Bulbs, there are several HID lights that you can install to your vehicle. Some of the things you need to do before buying HID Headlights are to do your homework. Make sure that you get HID Headlights that won’t get you pulled over by the Police. Because HID Lights are brighter than standard bulbs, some local areas have passed laws that prohibit these lights. Check with your local DMV to find out if adding these are OK. Also make sure that your HID lights are aimed the right way and also be sure to keep your lights at 6000k-8000k.

Now that you know what sort of HID Bulbs to get, let’s get to installing them to your vehicle. First, you will need items, such as:

•           Phillips Screwdriver

•           A Drill

•           ½” Socket and/or 10MM Socket

•           1/8” Drill Bit

•           Wire Cutters

•           Electrical Tape

•           Allen Wrench to adjust the Headlights

•           A Ratchet

•           ¾” Metal Screws

•           Rubber Glove to prevent touching the HID Light with your bare hands

To begin, be sure to remove the battery cover and disconnect the battery. Then you need to take the battery out of the vehicle. Be sure to find the rubber boot that’s behind the head light and remove it. You will find a ring that holds the light bulb into place. Remove the ring by turning it clockwise.

Now it’s time to put your rubber gloves on. After you have them on your hands, remove the bulb by pulling it back. Cut four wires at about 2 feet each. Carefully cut the wire and crimp the flat pin connector at one end of the 16 gauge wire. You will do this for all four wires. Then be sure to insert the wires into each of the light sockets. You need to make sure that the negative wire is added into the middle slot. The outer slots are used for high and low beams. Now use some electrical tape in order to place the wires into place. Then be sure to slide the plastic ring through the new bulb. Slide the bulb into the headlight and turn the ring clockwise in order to place the bulb into position. Get the double sided tape that should of came with the kit and attach the mounting bracket to the ballast.

Now get the 1/8” drill bit and drill a hold into the fender wall. You’ll now use a Phillips Screwdriver and ¾” screw to mount the ballast into position. Now that you have one finished, it’s time to do the other one.

Be sure to connect the wire harness to the 16 gauge wires that come from the head light sockets. Be sure to plug in the wire harness to the ballast. Tape up and exposed wiring that may be showing. Now it’s time to plug the wires in that lead from the HID Bulbs to the ballast. Tuck away any extra wire and use wire ties to secure them into place.

Now just put the battery back into your vehicle and test them out. I would suggest that you park your vehicle in front of a wall and check the lights to see if they’re aimed in the right direction. Use an Allen wrench to adjust the vertical adjusters.

We hope that these installation techniques will help.
